We're a local directory service - like a digital phone book or Yellow Pages - that lists contractors and home service providers in Anderson County, South Carolina. We help connect homeowners with contractors by providing listings and lead distribution.

Important: We are NOT a verification service. We list contractors who pay to be listed and display the information they provide to us, but we do not verify licenses, insurance, or work quality.

Is using your service free for homeowners?

Yes, completely free! There is no cost to:

  • Browse contractor listings
  • Submit service requests
  • Contact contractors
  • Get quotes and estimates

How we make money: Contractors pay one-time fees for directory listings and optional monthly fees for premium services. These fees don't affect the prices you receive from contractors.

Do you verify contractor licenses and insurance?

NO. We are a listing service, not a verification service.

What we DO:

  • List contractors who pay to be listed
  • Display information contractors provide to us
  • Show self-reported insurance status
  • Post insurance certificates contractors upload

What we DON'T do:

  • Verify licenses with the state
  • Call insurance agents to verify coverage
  • Check contractor work quality or references
  • Get involved in disputes or guarantee work
Your Responsibility:

What do the different contractor badges mean?

  • Does NOT have liability insurance
  • Often handymen, painters, or small contractors
  • You're hiring at your own risk - check your homeowner's insurance

đŸĨˆ "Self-Reported Insured Contractor" (Standard Tier):

  • CLAIMS to have liability insurance
  • Insurance information is self-reported - NOT verified by us
  • You must verify insurance independently before hiring

đŸĨ‡ "Self-Reported Premium Insured Professional" (Premium Tier):

  • CLAIMS to have higher insurance coverage (typically $1M+)
  • Usually more established businesses
  • STILL self-reported - you must verify independently
Important:

Higher tiers mean contractors paid more for their listing, NOT that we verified their information. Always verify insurance directly with the insurance agent listed on their certificate.

How do I verify a contractor's insurance?

Step-by-step process:

  1. Request a Certificate of Insurance from the contractor
  2. Look for the insurance agent's phone number on the certificate
  3. Call the agent directly and ask: "Is [Contractor Name] currently covered?"
  4. Verify the coverage amount is accurate
  5. Ask to be added as "additional insured" for your project
  6. Get your own Certificate of Insurance with YOUR name on it

Never accept a certificate without calling to verify it's current and valid.

What if a contractor does bad work or damages my property?

We are NOT involved in disputes between homeowners and contractors.

Step 1: Try to resolve directly with the contractor. Document everything in writing and take photos.

Step 2: If that fails, file complaints with:

Step 3: Consider small claims court for monetary damages or consult an attorney.

If contractor committed fraud or serious violations, contact us and we may remove their listing after investigation. However, we cannot mediate disputes or provide refunds.

What are the directory listing tiers?

Basic ($99 one-time): Company name, phone, basic description. No insurance required - perfect for handymen and new contractors.

Standard ($199 one-time): Everything in Basic + photos, full description, reviews, higher placement, self-reported insurance badge.

Premium ($299 one-time): Everything in Standard + unlimited photos/videos, top placement, lead request button, homepage featured section, eligibility for AI Services.

Premium + AI ($496 first month, then $197/month): Premium listing + automated review responses, social media management, appointment reminders, lead follow-ups.

Note:

Directory listing fees ($99/$199/$299) are ONE-TIME, not monthly. Your listing stays active indefinitely. Only AI Services ($197/month) is a recurring monthly charge.

Can I join if I don't have insurance?

YES! Our Basic Tier ($99) is perfect for contractors without insurance.

Your profile will clearly show you're an "Independent Contractor" without insurance. Homeowners will see this before contacting you, so they can make an informed decision.

Your responsibilities:

  • Inform customers verbally that you don't have insurance
  • Provide your own contracts and legal forms
  • Advise customers to check their homeowner's insurance

We recommend getting insurance as your business grows so you can upgrade to Standard or Premium tiers for better placement and more customer trust.

Do you verify my license and insurance?

NO. We are a listing service like a phone book - we do NOT verify credentials.

How it works:

  • You self-report whether you have insurance (YES or NO)
  • If you have insurance, you tell us the coverage amount
  • You can upload your insurance certificate (optional for Standard, required for Premium badge)
  • We display exactly what you report to us
  • We add disclaimers that information is "self-reported - not verified"

Your responsibility: Report accurate information and update us if anything changes (insurance canceled, coverage amount changed, etc.).

Can I manage my own listing or update it myself?

No, there is no contractor portal or self-service dashboard.

How it works:

  • After you register and pay, we contact you to collect photos and information
  • We build your professional profile page
  • For updates, email or call us and we'll make the changes for you
  • Updates usually completed within 24-48 hours

Why: This keeps all profiles looking professional and consistent. We handle the technical stuff so you can focus on your business.

Do you provide contracts or waiver forms?

NO. We do NOT provide legal forms, contracts, or waivers.

Your responsibility:

  • You must provide your own contracts for customer jobs
  • You must provide your own estimate forms
  • You must provide your own waivers (if needed)
  • Consult with a lawyer about what forms you need

Why: Every contractor's situation is different. Legal forms should come from your lawyer, not from a directory service. We're just a listing platform - you handle all legal paperwork with your customers.

Are directory listing fees monthly or one-time?

Directory listings are ONE-TIME fees:

  • Basic ($99) - pay once, listing stays active indefinitely
  • Standard ($199) - pay once, listing stays active indefinitely
  • Premium ($299) - pay once, listing stays active indefinitely

AI Services is monthly:

  • Premium AI Services ($197/month) - recurring subscription, cancel anytime

No hidden fees. What you see is what you pay. Optional lead purchases are separate.

How do lead purchases work?

Lead purchases are completely optional and separate from your directory listing.

When a homeowner requests services in your category:

  • You receive an instant email/SMS notification with their info
  • You can choose to purchase the lead or pass
  • Lead pricing varies by project type and service category
  • Most leads range from $25-$200+ depending on project value

You're never required to purchase leads - your directory listing works regardless of lead purchases.

What does Premium AI Services include?

$197/month subscription (requires Premium Tier listing)

What's included:

  • AI Review Responses: Automatic responses to ALL Google Business Profile reviews within 24 hours
  • Social Media Posts: 4 posts/month to Google Business Profile and 4 posts/month to Facebook (8 total)
  • Appointment Reminders: Automated SMS reminders to customers before appointments
  • Lead Follow-Ups: Automated follow-up messages to leads
  • Human Oversight: All AI responses reviewed by professionals before posting

Requirements: Must have Premium Tier listing ($299) and grant us access to your Google Business Profile.

Additional costs: SMS messaging billed separately (typically $20-30/month).

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Directory listing fees ($99/$199/$299) are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Once your profile is live, the setup fee is final. However:

  • You can pause your listing temporarily (contact us)
  • You can remove your listing permanently (no refund)
  • You can upgrade to a higher tier anytime (pay the difference)

AI Services ($197/month): Month-to-month subscription. Cancel anytime with no cancellation fees. Current month is non-refundable.
